Highlight Clip of the Week

Kangas fight back with an impressive win and LG Dire Wolves secure their place at SMITE Masters LAN.

Coming from a strong performance last week, Dark Sided had their eyes on second place when they faced Legacy Esports over the weekend. The competition was fierce and Legacy displayed intelligent play, working the map and using their knowledge of the current meta to maintain their spot. Ricki “Yada” Wellington was the star player for Legacy, only dying once during the 2 game set.

Team Noxide had their work cut out for them this week taking on the top team LG Dire Wolves. They came out swinging in the first game though were unable to take a lead. The Wolfpack continued their undefeated streak with a clean victory. Alex “Kikiomeo” Gallaugher had a target on his back in the first game, and fought back with a vengeance in the second, taking 3 solo kills in his lane against Tekzy.

Kanga Esports were up against Avant Garde this week, and although both teams have been taking time to adjust to the new competitive landscape everyone was surprised when Kangas took a clean 2-0 win. Kang’s Desacrator finished the two game set 16/1/26, with honourable mentions also going to Envisionise and TorreySkiez who helped propel the team to their first victory of the split.

The heavyweight match was a battle between the first and second teams. If LG Dire Wolves took this victory against Legacy Esports, they were guaranteed their spot at SMITE Masters in April. The Wolfpack didn’t give Legacy an opportunity to slow them down, playing to their strengths and controlling the games, they took a clean 2-0 victory.

Week 5 Results:

  • Dark Sided vs Legacy Esports 0-2
  • Team Noxide vs Dire Wolves 0-2
  • Avant Garde vs Kanga Esports 0-2
