QvoFred vs Adapting

| Article | March 8th, 2017

With a BYE week for the fourth week of the Season 4 SPL SPring Split, players and teams have more time to prepare for their opponent. We will resume SPL action for the Fifth Week on Thursday, March 16th, on HiRezTV at 1:00 PM EST (7:00 PM CET) with more European and North American games. The game of the day will be Team Dignitas vs. NRG eSports. Let’s take a look at this Thursday night game a little closer and see how not only these two teams stack up against each other but also two players in particular, the Jungle match up.

QvoFred & Team Dignitas

Game Two vs. Elevate Hun Batz 5 0 7

Game Two vs. Sanguine Esports Hun Batz 5 1 8

Anders “QvoFred” Korsbo has helped lead his team to 7 out of 8 wins so far in the Season 4 SPL Spring Split with a 7.68 KDA. He’s been making a big impact in every single game, especially whenever he can get his hands on the Hun Batz – only having one death out of the three games he chose this god. A great performance coming from him as well in his Serqet game against Sanguine Esports. QvoFred was considered by many fans and even players as one of the best European Junglers during Season 3 based off of his performance, outshining Adapting. Now in Season 4, he is in the same pace.

Adapting & NRG eSports

Game Two vs. Obey Alliance Mercury 6 3 2

Game Two vs. CycloneGG Fenrir 2 2 8

Kennet “Adapting” Ros and NRG eSports, despite being two time SMITE World Champions, have not had the greatest success in the Season 4 online portion thus far. Winning four out of their eight games played, this roster is currently tied for fourth along with Lion Guard Esports. It’s been a similar story for his team in the beginning of Season 3 but we all saw that this didn’t matter as his team progressed towards their second World title. Adapting is not afraid to bring out a lot of different gods, pulling out the Mercury in his first set against Obey Alliance tried to catch his opponents off guard but couldn’t get enough momentum in the early game to get this late game god in position to carry. Switching away to more traditional gods this split, Adapting has made a bigger impact in his games. If there is ever a player to challenge Adapting directly for the top European Jungler spot, it’ll be QvoFred.

QvoFred vs. Adapting

There is a lot of history between these two European Junglers. Out of their LAN encounters, Qvo has a one game lead over Adapting. However, when it comes to online games, Adapting and NRG won 9 out of the 14 encounters against QvoFred’s team. First important set they faced off was in the 2015 Super Regionals when QvoFred’s team won that set and took the first seed heading into the 2015 SMITE World Championship. That didn’t bother Adapting too much as he aided his team in winning their first Championship title. The last time these players faced off were in the Season 3 Fall Placement online stages where they took one win each out of the two games played. It was a different meta back then with Yammyn playing his typical Chrion middle while both Junglers picked Ao Kuang in their losses against each other. This two game set was played more than six months ago and with a new season, new items, new gods, who knows how these players have prepared for each other, especially with a BYE week.
