The Hi-Rez Oceania Championship in 2016 was a spectacle to behold. It was an intense competition over two days with hundreds of raucous SMITE fans in the live audience while thousands more watched live online.

The LG Dire Wolves took the top spot and represented the region at Hi-Rez Expo in Atlanta in early January. Although they faced some of the toughest opposition first round against the eventual 2nd place team Obey Alliance, they did the region proud.

Details:

Teams will be fighting this split for their share of the $10,000 AUD prize pool with the top team being sent to the SMITE Masters LAN in Atlanta in April. The total prize pool for this international event is an incredible $120,000 USD. This is an unbelievable opportunity for Oceania teams to face international play, usually reserved for the end of the season. It goes without saying that all teams will hit the ground running and the competition will be extremely fierce.
