Challenger Circuit 2017 – Details

Relegations for the SMITE Pro League Spring Split are happening in just a few weeks and we’re happy to announce another part of the Spring Split: the Challenger Circuit.

Players and viewers who are familiar with the Challenger Cup from previous seasons will enjoy our revamped format for the Challenger Circuit in 2017. We’re also happy to announce we’ll be working with Tiermonster again to bring you the best amateur competition in the Spring Split!

Details:

The Challenger Circuit is a 6-week amateur league where four (4) teams in each region will compete in a round robin tournament. The bottom three (3) relegation teams and the 4th place open bracket team will make up the Challenger Circuit competition.

The Challenger Circuit will also feature a mid-split and final relegation week where the top teams from the Combine face off against the bottom teams of the Challenger Circuit.

  • Starts: Saturday, February 18th
  • Ends: Sunday, March 26th
  • Every team plays each other once in three (3) weeks (February 18th – March 5th)
  • 1st Relegations Week (March 11th – March 12th)
    • Bottom two (2) Challenger Circuit and top two (2) Combine teams
    • Top two (2) advance to Challenger Circuit
  • Every team plays each other once in two (2) weeks (March 18th – March 26th)
  • 2nd Relegations Week (April 1st – April 2nd)
    • Bottom two (2) Challenger Circuit and top two (2) Combine teams
    • Top two (2) advance to Summer Challenger Circuit
